Baptism, the Eucharist, and the sacrament of Confirmation together constitute the sacraments of Christian initiation, whose unity must be safeguarded. It must be explained to the faithful that the reception of the sacrament of Confirmation is necessary for the completion of baptismal grace.
- CCC 1285
The Sacrament of Confirmation is usually received by children in the 8th grade. Candidates are prepared for the sacrament by participation in a two year Faith Formation program. Contact the Church office for more information.
If you are past the age of 18 years, have been baptized, and received Holy Communion but have NOT been confirmed, St. John the Baptist offers RCIA classes. Please contact the church office at 235-8436 for more information on how to enroll in RCIA.
