Every year many nation-wide dioceses hold their Annual Appeals. The funds assist ministries, missions, seminary formation, religious education/faith formation. Each of our Archdiocese parishes is assigned a goal based on their income in prior years. If we exceed this goal, the money comes back to our parish assessment-exempt. In past successful Appeals we have used the goal-exceeded money for painting the church interior, new front doors, new Sanctuary big picture window. Last year we did not meet the goal and had to pay the remaining owed. This year’s is $11,683.75. We are halfway there with less than 10% of parishioners pledging.
Donations to this Appeal are via the Archdiocese of Anchorage-Juneau. Envelopes are found in the front church entryway or give via online at the Archdioces website United in Mission Annual Appeal.
